The Associate Board supports APEX through volunteer recruitment and retention, community outreach and marketing, fundraising, and programs evaluation.

Stephen Lin

Stephen Lin - CHAIR

Stephen is an Associate at Investcorp Technology Partners, where he is responsible for evaluating investment opportunities in growing mid-market companies in the internet, software, hardware, and IT services industries. Prior to joining Investcorp, Stephen was a Senior Analyst in the Debt Advisory & Execution Group and the Financial Sponsors/Leveraged Finance Group at the Royal Bank of Scotland. Stephen graduated from the Jerome Fisher Program in Management and Technology at the University of Pennsylvania with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and a B.S. in Finance.

Chris Chao

Chris Chao - VICE CHAIR

Chris is an Associate in Acquisitions at Paramount Group, where he is responsible for new office investments in major CBD markets in the U.S. Previously, Chris was a VP in Real Estate Banking at BNY Mellon and an Analyst in Asset Management at Broadway Partners. Chris graduated from Tufts University with a B.A. in Quantitative Economics and from New York University with a M.S. in Real Estate Finance. Chris is also a High School Mentor at Apex.

Tania Chen - SECRETARY

Tania is a Producer for the morning show "Bloomberg Surveillance" on Bloomberg TV. Prior to joining Bloomberg, Tania was a Currency and Fixed Income Reporter for the Forex team at Dow Jones Newswires and WSJ. Tania graduated from Northwestern University with a B.M. in Violin Studies from the music school and M.S.J. in Broadcast Journalism from Medill School of Journalism. She is a 4th Grade Prep Tutor at P.S. 1.


Jeff works in the Client Strategy Group within the Executive Office at Goldman Sachs. Prior to joining the Client Strategy group, Jeff was an Investment Banking Analyst at Goldman Sachs, focusing on not-for-profit hospitals and higher education institutions. Jeff graduated with distinction from the Ivey School of Business with Honors in Business Administration. Jeff is a Basketball Coach at Apex.

Jessica Wang


Jessica Wang is an Associate at Irving Place Capital, where she works in the Investor Relations group. Prior to joining Irving Place Capital, Jessica was an associate at Adams Street Partners and an analyst in the Financial Sponsors Group at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Jessica graduated with Honors from the University of Texas at Austin with a B.B.A. in the Business Honors Program and Finance.


Nancy is a Vice President in the Alternative Investment Group at HSBC, where she is responsible for researching and recommending hedge funds for investment. Nancy is a CFA Charterholder and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Binghamton University with a B.A. in Psychology. Nancy was also a High School Mentor at Apex.


Yinan works in Equity Research covering the Restaurants, Gaming, Lodging and Leisure sectors at Susquehanna International Group. Prior to joining Susquehanna, Yinan worked at Merrill Lynch and Wedbush Securities. Yinan graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering. Yinan is also a SAT Prep Tutor at Apex.

Claire Cao

Claire is an Associate in Global Markets at Deutsche Bank. Prior to joining Deutsche, she was an Investor Relations Associate at Avenue Capital, where she focused on managing relationships with institutional investors. Claire graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Communications and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. Claire volunteered as a Middle School Mentor at Apex.

Selena Chang

Selena Chang

Selena is an Associate at Arlington Capital Partners, where she is responsible for evaluating investment opportunities in mid-market companies in mainly the government services, aerospace and defense, and business services industries. Prior to joining Arlington, Selena was an Analyst in the Financial Sponsors Group at Deutsche Bank. Selena graduated from Smith College with a B.A. in Economics and a B.A. in Government, with a concentration in International Relations.

Kristine Chin

Kristine is the Volunteer and Alumni Coordinator at New York Needs You, a nonprofit that provides career development programs to low-income and first-generation college students. Prior to joining NYNY, Kristine was a Program Coordinator at Apex for Youth and in account management at several advertising agencies. Kristine graduated from Temple University with a B.A. in Communications.

Albert Chu

Albert Chu

Albert is a Project Leader at The Boston Consulting Group, a global management consulting firm. He has previously worked at The International Save the Children Alliance as a Programme Consultant. Albert received his MBA from Harvard Business School and attended Duke University as a recipient of the Angier B. Duke Memorial Scholarship, graduating summa cum laude with a BSE in Biomedical Engineering.

Jay Soon

Jay is a Manager in PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Banking – Strategy, Technology & Operations practice. He has over seven years of experience in the financial services industry assisting various banking and payments clients to improve and restructure existing business processes. He has been involved in multiple large scale projects, including a Business Transformation initiative for a large retail bank where he managed the entire lifecycle of the project from strategy development to execution. He specializes in payments strategy, organizational strategy, and project management. Jay is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP), Six Sigma and ITIL practitioner. Jay received his B.S. in Information Management and Technology from Syracuse University.

Dai Yu

Dai Yu

Dai is in the Structured Products Group at GoldenTree Asset Management, where he is responsible for investing in structured credit opportunities. Prior to joining GoldenTree, Dai was an Associate in the Global Proprietary Credit Group of Morgan Stanley. Previously, Dai was an Analyst in the Quant Research and Trading program at Citigroup. Dai graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School and the School of Engineering and Applied Science with B.S. in Finance and a B.S. in Computer Science.
