In a letter from The White House, President Barack Obama wrote:

I send greetings to all those celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Asian Professional Extension (APEX).

Nothing is more important to our Nation's long-term success than preparing our sons and daughters for the world they will inherit. We face great challenges as a country, and we will need engaged and educated young people of all backgrounds to carry forward America's promise.

Organizations like APEX work to give our future leaders every opportunity to reach their greatest potential. By empowering Asian-American students through confidence-building and educational programs, they help ensure our progress will be shaped by creative and courageous actions. As we move forward, these efforts play a role in keeping American a Nation that is big enough and bold enough to accommodate the dreams of all its people.

As you gather on this special occasion, I wish you all the best for the years ahead.

Barack Obama
